Something very cool is happening in the most atheistic country in Europe. This is territory where Satan probably feels very satisfied that the vast majority of people are blindly headed for an eternity without God. This can be a discouraging place for Christian workers: the going is slow, the obstacles many, the resistance tangible. But within a vast apartmentsettlement within the city limits of Prague, a little lump of yeast is being added to the batch of dough consisting of 21,000 people – and that yeast knows it's job. It is fresh, it is potent with the calling and Spirit of God, and it is willing to do some hard work. Reasons for Choosing Rajska Zahrada: The metropolitan area of Rajska Zahrada and Cerny Most (RZ-CM) is actually one township with two parts. It is an ever-growing community of mainly large concrete high-rise apartments with a population of more than 21,000. This community consists mainly of middle to lower income families, many single parent families with small children, and immobile elderly. Besides the mother church of the project, the Cirkev Bratrska Cerny Most (CBCM), there is only one other evangelical church in the entire RZ-CM area. However, the Jehovah's Witnesses have their headquarters in this area, and there is an Islamic mosque nearby, too. Our desire is to reach these people and plant a new church among them. With a relationship model of cooperation between the mother (CBCM) and daughter church we hope, in time, to reach into this unreached area.
